8BallTuning was founded in 2012 by Michael Ross when he noticed a distinct lack of tuning available in the Highlands.

Having gone through the main dealer training programme for Vauxhall, earning his Service Tech Qualification, he was nominated for Apprentice Of The Year. After subsequent tests against other newly qualified Vauxhall Apprentices from across the UK, Michael was declared winner of the award for Apprentice Of The Year.

Michael was then nominated for an IMI award, the Institute Of The Motoring Industry. This nomination was against various manufacturers throughout the UK, for the award of Outstanding Tech.

Michael was declared winner of the Outstanding Tech Award.

Michael had always been interested in the electronic side of vehicles, becoming an ATA Diagnostic tech and High Voltage Tech alongside his regular ATA Service Tech award. This drive to learn more about vehicles lead to various training and first hand experience of remapping techniques and dyno operation. This is where the 'bug bit' and the rest as they say is history.

Constant development within the tuning industry means that Michael is constantly bringing new products and techniques to his 'toolkit', meaning you, the customer, will benefit from the most latest technology, that leaves many 'dinosaur tuners' behind.
